The sixteenth annual Turtle Fest was held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday March 23, at The Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, Jupiter. The event was open to all ages and consisted of many vendors and entertainment as well as food. However, the main goal of Turtle Fest was to spread the word about ways to help protect sea turtles in our oceans and ways each person could act individually to help the cause. Six of the seven species of sea turtles are either threatened or endangered due to human lifestyle/activity. The extinction of the sea turtle would have a huge impact on the oceans ecosystem in multiple ways.
