With the increase in fast-casual dining options in downtown West Palm Beach, local food businesses provide a healthy menu. The top priority of consumers is the availability of healthy options on restaurant menus, according to a study by The NPD Group. Two fast-casual healthy restaurants say that much of their business comes from people on their lunch breaks in the surrounding area.

“We are seeing a trend toward more plant-based eating and people wanting whole-food ingredients, but consumers are still busy and need convenience,” Patricia Bannan, a registered dietitian nutritionist, said. “I’m happy to see new products that make it easier for consumers to embrace healthy eating on the go.”
