West Palm Beach has a multitude of beautiful sites to see for both tourists and locals. With consistent warm weather to a range of outdoor activities available, West Palm Beach provides plenty of attractions that welcomes people to enjoy time in the sun. Here are six entertaining places near Palm Beach Atlantic University available for your enjoyment.
Peanut Island
Peanut Island is a 79-acre island just 5.4 miles north of PBA. The island is accessible by a short $10 boat ride from Riviera Beach. Visitors are able to snorkel, fish and even camp on this dog-friendly island. Peanut Island is a wonderful visit for all day entertainment.
Okeeleehee Park
Okeeleehee Park is a park with plenty of amenities available for entertainment. Baseball fields, bicycle paths, boat launching ramps, and fishing are just some of the amenities available for guests to use. There are also paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes available for rental. Okeeleehee Park is 12 miles away from PBA.
Worth Avenue
If you are looking for name brand stores and classy restaurants, Worth Avenue is a wonderful place to visit. With high-end shops, such as Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton, you can shop for quality name brand clothing while enjoying the breeze of the beach just nearby. Worth Avenue has a Clock Tower that looks out to the Atlantic Ocean. Worth Avenue is just 1.4 miles away from PBA.
Mounts Botanical Garden
Mounts Botanical Garden is Palm Beach’s largest and oldest botanical garden. Mounts Botanical Garden contains 23 different gardens. Along with the elegant flowers and trees, creatures such as butterflies and iguanas roam throughout the garden. Mounts Botanical Garden is five miles from PBA.
City Place
City Place is conveniently just a half a mile walk away from Palm Beach Atlantic University allowing easy access to the shops and restaurants it provides. City Place contains restaurants from The Cheesecake Factory to Starbucks as well as popular shops such as H&M, Sephora and Sunglass Hut. Besides the restaurants and shops, an AMC movie theater and bowling alley called Revolutions are located in City Place for entertainment.
Ocean Blvd Beach
Lastly, of course West Palm Beach would not be the same without the spectacular beaches available. Just at the end of Royal Park Way is Ocean Blvd which provides easy access to the sandy beaches and blue ocean. This beach contains waves perfect for surfing and is just about one mile east of PBA.
