Local coffee entrepreneurs put a spin on small business

Coffee is a daily necessity for many people. Josh Kormen and Loic Artuet try to feed that need and make their dreams of owning a small business a reality. They opened their own small businesses in downtown West Palm Beach, where they’re battling the competitive coffee shop market. Their restaurants’ uniqueness helps them stand out among neighboring shops.

Kormen hopes to make his shop distinctive by creating specialty coffee which includes a high quality way of planting, picking and roasting the beans. This makes his coffee one of the best in the area. Artuet focuses on designing an authentic French-style restaurant that offers quality French baked goods and coffee.

Half of small businesses fail within the first five years, but Kormen and Artuet hope their passions and creativity are enough to consistently drive them toward success.
