A nuisance abatement meeting originally scheduled for Oct. 3 was canceled at West Palm Beach City Hall. A nuisance abatement utilizes building and zoning codes to improve safety and prevent crime within neighborhoods. Unfortunately for one local family, this is not the only pushback from the city. West Palm Beach resident Teawanna Teal went to city hall to resolve many threats within the community, especially for her cousin, who was killed on Sept. 8 due to gun violence. Now, Teal must wait until the next meeting on Nov. 7 to find a potential solution.
